Place your incense stick in an incense burner with a surface that will also collect ash as it falls. Trim the incense stick as needed. Light the end of the stick until a flame appears, and gently extinguish it by safely fanning or blowing on the flame. Leave incense stick in the burner for as long as desired, do not leave it unattended.
